3 Non-Dye Easter Egg Decorating Ideas

Happy Easter to you and your families!

In preparation for Easter festivities this weekend, I thought I'd share 3 of my favorite egg decorating ideas from Pinterest.  And, they all just happen to be non-dye ideas.  (Rage against the traditional machine!)

1. Metallic Eggs - Grab some metallic spray paint or craft paint and paint away.  Super easy and way chic!  Heck, I think you could even use Rub 'N Buff for this project...

2. Washi Tape Eggs - Ever hear of washi tape?  It's a decorative paper tape with a sticky backing.  Washi tape can be found at craft stores and there are so many adorable patterns to choose from.  This would be the most mess-free egg decorating session ever.

3. Nail Polish Marbled Eggs - More messy but way cool!  Have a little extra nail polish laying around?  If so, you've got to try this egg decorating idea.  The full instructions can be found on the Henry Happened blog {here}.

Hope your weekends are filled with joy, thanksgiving, and reflection on the true reason for this holiday.  He is Risen...He is Risen Indeed!

  1. Do you know of any Easter Egg dye kits that don't require you to boil eggs? That would be a fantastic! -Jan

Hi Jan! It's funny you ask, because I made the same comment to my husband and we came to the conclusion that you can dye eggs without boiling them (the boiling doesn't make the shell any more dye-able), they would just be extra fragile and wouldn't keep as long out of the fridge. Don't drop an un-boiled egg, unless you want a big mess! Happy Easter!
