My Little Girl's Nursery Space

It's been a long time since I've shared an Inspiration Board with you all so I thought I would show one off that has come to fruition in our house - my little girl's nursery!

(For those wondering...an Inspiration Board is a personalized, affordable design service that I offer to help you conceptualize, source, and easily execute the design of any space in your home - check out the details on my Design Services page {here}.)

Now, on to my little girl's nursery space.  Here are the items that inspired me!  (sources with links can be found below the Inspiration Board)

1. Ikea Ung Drill Frame ($30) - Ikea // 2. Small Round Capiz Pendant ($129) - West Elm // 3. Kirby Gray Silk Drapery Panels ($215/set of 2) - Baby Authority // 4. Baby Italia EastSide Dresser in White ($480) - BabiesRUs  with Hickory Hardware Tranquility Knobs ($2.55 each) - MyKnobs // 5. Pink Triple Gourd Accent Lamp ($188) - Bath Kitchen Decor // 6. out of stock Baby Italia EastSide Crib in White ($330) - AoL Shopping // 7. Grey Owl ($24) - Pier 1 // 8. Wicker Plantation Rocker in Black ($724) - Frontgate // 9. 4-Piece Kirby Bedding Set ($346) - Baby Authority // 10.  Green Side Table ($149) - Home Depot // 11. Ikat Sari Pouf Ottoman ($140) - Pier 1 // 12. Ikea Gislev Rug ($20) - Ikea

After some research I found several cheaper alternatives for her space - I admittedly splurged on the shown bedding and white furniture...but I did find much cheaper gray silk drapes, a black wicker rocker and pink gourd lamp both from Pier 1, a chest I painted green for a small table {here}, and a look-alike light fixture I DIY'd {here}.

Here is how the space looks in "real life":

That is how the original Inspiration Board shown above has come to life!  This sophisticated but fun space has been perfect for a baby, a toddler, and now an ever-growing big girl.  I'm thinking I'll add a cute day bed or this IKEA Minnen kid bed once we transition to a "big-girl-bed".

Every thing else in the room isn't age-specific and will last a good long while - which means we save money in the long run!

What do you think of it?  Does it look like the original inspiration board?  If you have any questions about sources, or any of the shown projects - like the book sling or framed alphabet flash cards - please let me know!
