Go Vote!!!
Have you!?!?
This is the first year I've voted in-person at the polls. For previous elections, I've always done absentee ballots. (I was active duty military for previous elections so I was never registered to vote in the state that I actually lived in.)
After today's experience, I've honestly got to say that there is something really special and exhilarating about voting in person. It makes you proud to be an American...it makes you feel extraordinarily blessed to live in a country where we have the right, the privilege, the responsibility to vote. Despite the loud "Vote for ____!" button-wearing peeps and some annoying a-bit-too-late campaigning outside the poll site, there is an unspoken brotherhood among voters - a respect that is hard to describe. Knowing that someone else took the time out of their day to stand in line and do their part makes you feel like we just might have a brighter tomorrow.
I think it's one of those few times we gather as a people to actually experience democracy and make it a part of our day - something we so often take for granted as Americans. So, all that being said - I hope you did vote or will vote! No matter who you vote for, I thank you and respect you for doing your part. I'm proud to be your fellow American!

AH-GREED! We are going to be last minute voters tonight and are taking Tristen. I want him to experience it.. we are damn lucky, sometimes I take that for granted.
The hubs dropped our ballots off at the library this morning. Although, I'm pretty sure we cancelled each other out for the presidency vote, but that's a-okay. We both had the opportunity to share our voice.
