Holiday Party Fashion

It's party season - work parties, Christmas concerts, church services, family gatherings, New Year's Eve celebrations, etc. - and you're thinking, "What am I going to wear to that?".  Here are some beautiful dress-up items I've found and wanted to share with you to get the fashion ideas flowing.  The beauty of these items is that you can keep wearing them even after the new year begins.

This beautiful BB Dakota Clarissa dress ($99) has a gorgeous fit that would accentuate a waist on any body type.  The neckline and pleating remind me of something you'd see from the early 1960s, but the fabric makes it completely up to date.  Top it with a black cardigan and slip on flats to dress it down for daytime wear.

Dark navy is the new black!  The ASOS Cowl Neck Pencil Dress with Belt ($61) is a solid color but it packs a punch with a beautiful neckline and sweet sash that ties in the back.  This dress will never go out of style and would look great with any color of accessories.

These beautiful bronze Cross-strap Sandals ($80)  from Loft.com will add the perfect dash of sparkle to any holiday outfit.  You can wear metallic sandals like a neutral - they go with any color or pattern.

The Tempesta ring ($30) from Shabby Apple is sophisticated and sparkly like something you'd find in your Grandmother's stash of vintage jewelry.  This would be a lovely accent piece to any outfit, and you can skip the bracelet and necklace because it makes a grand statement on it's own.

This gorgeous Surplice-back Striped Sequin Dress is on sale at Express for $76.  You can wear it belted or as a sheath.  It's completely eye-catching!

These Georgi heels ($69) are from Shabby Apple.  I love the fact that they have a subtle platform which makes them much more comfortable to stand in.  The ruffle detail is demure but dashing at the same time.

The ASOS Mini Metallic Quilted Cross-body Bag ($27) is a great hands-free option with the long cross-body strap.  This allows you to keep your hands free for holding drinks, shaking hands, or giving hugs.

Copper is a very popular color this year and this Many Belles Down Dress ($58) displays it beautifully.  The gathered fabric around the drop-waist line is very flattering.  The dress would also look great topped with a structured black blazer.

A divine hue, the ASOS Mini Dress with Double Layer Skirt ($72) is bright but work party appropriate with a conservative neckline and full-length sleeves.

This ASOS Envelope Clutch ($27) is stylish and very practical with it's larger size to accommodate much more than just a few essentials.

If you need to dress up just a little bit for a get-together with friends opt for a top with some glimmer paired with some tailored or skinny jeans.  This Slouchy Almondine Sequined Top ($30) is flashy and fun but subdued with it's neutral color.

Finally, the perfect Little Black Dress - the Center Panel Rouched Dress ($49) from Limited.com.  The rouching is totally figure flattering, and the classic color allows you to accessorize with fun shoes and jewelry.

Now party on party people!  Enjoy celebrating with your friends, family, and co-workers.  -Kristen
