Winners Revealed!! Nail Polish Give-Away

Congratulations to our give-away winners:
 Marrion and Peggy!

These two ladies will get their preferred shade delivered in the mail shortly.  Thanks to all of you who participated, and to all my devoted readers.  You inspire me to keep sharing my words.  We'll do something like this again in the near future....so please stay tuned.

(Marrion and Peggy, I'll be in touch with you soon to get your address for delivery.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Halloween!  Did you spot the real treat in the bowl?  That's right, not the candy, the beautiful warm-hued Lasting Finish Pro Nail Lacquer from Rimmel London.  These two shades are super hot for Fall this year and (SURPRISE!) you can purchase them at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, and many other drug stores for just around $4 each.  I've tested them out and can vouch that they do last for a week without chipping, which is near impossible for someone like me...I'm the type who refuses to spend money on professional manicures because the polish will chip by the end of the day.  Final praise - before I get to the good stuff - the end of the brush is sculpted in a way that makes it great for easy application.

The first color is called Hot Cocoa:

This shade is the perfect dusty rose color.  It has a nice balance of "greige" undertones - just enough grey and just enough beige.  The color is subdued enough it would work for an interview and fun enough for a night on the town.

The second color is called Steel Grey:

This shade is a beautiful grayish lavender combo that doesn't verge to much toward either color, like a gorgeous taupe.  It's nice and neutral to go with any outfit - casual or dressed up - and it keeps you from looking overdone.  I'd say it's the lip gloss of nail color, just enough somethin' to to stand out as special.

Now to the fun give-away part!  I will send two lucky readers the color of their choice. There are two different ways to enter (yes, everyone may enter twice if you choose to do both options!):

1) Post a comment below telling me which one is your favorite color and why
2) Link this blog post to Facebook or Twitter using the share buttons below, then comment below telling me where you chose to link it (either Facebook or Twitter)

Names will be drawn at random.  The give-away entry period lasts until 10:00 pm EST on November 1st (this Tuesday night), so make sure to submit your comment in time.  I will announce the two winners on November 2nd so make sure you check back in on Wednesday to see if you're a winner.  Best of Luck!  -Kristen

(in no way am I being reimbursed for presenting or promoting these items...I just really enjoy them and would like to share them with you in thanks for reading Inspired Whims)

I love both colors! But if I had to pick one...I'd go for the Steel Grey- it'll go well with with most of my fall/winter clothing- and neutral enough for the rest of my UGA gameday outfits (: love your blog Kristen! It makes me happy!

  4. GO Dawgs (Marrion)...

But Kristen it just so happens that Walgreens is on my list of errands today. So I will get to see the colors first hand. From the pictures I like the Hot Cocoa.

Maybe when I see them in person my vote might change.

  5. I vote for Steel Grey, I think it is not only the right color for the season, but classy enough to wear in the office and for a great dinner party, neutral for any costume or gown!
    And Go Dawgs!!! :-)
